The whole experience of exploring new woodland in the search for scenes worth shooting is a totally exhilarating experience.  Talking a few hours to walk alone through peaceful tree-rich areas, listening to birds singing, watching startled Red Deer leap across the track before me and smelling the freshness of forest after rainfall, bring reward even before the tripod's legs are spread and the camera mounted.  This is what I love to do.  This is how I like to recharge my batteries.
